After many hours of cervidil starting the induction, Evie met her mother. Allison had extreme nausea from the pitocin and epidural. Despite these factors, she stayed calm. It wasn't her original plan to be induced but as every woman should know, plans are rarely fully executed. I have yet to meet one woman that has had everything go accordingly. I'm talking beyond the medicinal or natural plans. The emotional plans, the physical plans, the psychological plans, the surgical plans, the family plans, the delivery plans, the labor plans, plans, the postpartum plans...all of those plans. None of this is being said to discourage. I wish I would have known about this facade when I was a child. I wish I had heard the generations before me speak of these very real scenarios without guilt. More women should be prepared to deal with possible realities of birth. For the sake of our emotional and psychological well being. There is an unintentional stigma in the birth world that only one way of birthing is labeled "perfect". I call bullshit. You know what is perfect though? Mom roaring through 3rd degree tears in her precious anatomy only to somehow still smile because her child is finally in her arms. Trying to do natural and having a complication requiring medical/surgical intervention while the spirit of her resilience is not erased. Having outside energies (whether from loved ones or care providers) interfere in your sacred space, only to block it out and deliver your baby despite their selfishness. The unexpectedness of your child being torn away from you without a single glance and meeting for the first time through glass. Despite the through-glass introduction, her eyes are filled with joy knowing her child is safe. THAT is beyond perfection. That's being a woman. We are notoriously resilient. Regardless of how your child gets here, your body did the hardest thing it will ever have to do. That is a fact. YOU did it. You made the ultimate sacrifices. I hope you always find the truth in that. Your birth is just that. Yours. I'm proud of all of you. ♡

Tokom trudnoće, mama je patila od ''Hyperemesis Gravidarum'' (visokog pritiska u trudnoći), stanja koje karakterriše jaka mučnina, povraćanje, gubitak težine i poremećaj elektrolita. Njn suprug bio je uz nju sve vjeme uključujući i četiri hospitalizacije.

Par je angažirao Kirsti da zabeleži vrhunac ovog iskustva u bolnici, a ona je napravila dobar posao.

Sarine ćerke bliznakinje boluju od Daunovog sindroma i ona je zbog toga prošla kroz PAKAO! Sada je ponovo trudna, a Irma i Ilda ne mogu da dočekaju SESTRICU! (FOTO)

Međutim, kad je Kirsti rekla mužu da ga je uhvatila kako plače gledajući svog sina, rekao je: "Nisam zato plakao".

Fotografkinja je bila pomalo zbunjena pa ga je pitala zbog čega je zaplakao, a on joj je odgovorio:

- Prvi put nakon 10 meseci video sam osmeh na njenom licu.
